Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Kovenant app. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you have questions, write to aurby.app@gmail.com.
1. Who provides Kovenant
Kovenant is provided by Darío Nahin Lage Navarrete, based in Dénia (Alicante, Spain). Contact: aurby.app@gmail.com.
2. What Kovenant is
Kovenant is a wellbeing and personal growth tool: it helps you understand your habits, build a plan and stick to it with a companion inspired by Stoic philosophy.
Kovenant is not a healthcare service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and does not replace care from health professionals. If you are in danger or in crisis, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU).
3. Age
You must be at least 18 years old to use Kovenant.
4. Your account
You can sign in with your email (we send you a one-time code) or with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that email or account. You can delete your account at any time.
5. Subscriptions and payments
- Part of Kovenant is free and part requires a subscription (weekly, monthly or yearly) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy, taxes included.
- The yearly plan may include a 14-day free trial; the exact length is shown before you start it. If you don't cancel before it ends, the first year is charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before, from the subscription settings in Google Play or the App Store. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
- Payment is charged and managed by the store you buy from. Refunds follow that store's policy.
- The lifetime plan gives access to paid features for as long as Kovenant is offered.
- If we change a subscription price, we'll notify you in advance and you can cancel before it applies.
6. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer in the European Union you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. By starting to use paid content immediately, you expressly agree that the service begins before that period ends. To request a refund, use your store's process or write to us and we'll help.
7. Artificial intelligence
Some features, such as talking with Aurby and 3AM Mode, generate replies with artificial intelligence. We always tell you when you are talking to an AI. Its replies are guidance only, may contain mistakes and are not medical, legal or financial advice: don't make important decisions based on them alone.
8. Acceptable use
Please don't use Kovenant for unlawful purposes, try to access other people's data or interfere with the service, or copy or resell the app or its content.
9. Pacts, leagues and chat
In pacts and leagues you share your progress with other people, and in each pact's chat you can write, react, applaud and cheer others on. What you post is only visible to the members of that pact or league, and you are responsible for it.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and for those who post it. You may not harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against anyone; post sexual or violent content or content that encourages self-harm; share other people's personal data without their permission; spam; or impersonate anyone.
- An automatic filter blocks the most common offensive words and phrases before they are sent.
- You can report any message and block anyone by long-pressing their message. Once you block someone, you no longer see their messages or cheers in any of your pacts.
- We review reports within 24 hours. A message reported by two different people is hidden automatically while we review it.
- If content breaks these rules, we remove it and may remove the person who posted it from the pact or league, or suspend their account.
- Only share photos you took yourself or have the right to share.
10. Intellectual property
The design, texts, the app's character and the software belong to us or are licensed to us. Quotes from classical authors are in the public domain. What you write in the app is yours; you allow us to process it only as needed to provide the service.
11. Availability and liability
We work to keep Kovenant running well but cannot guarantee it will be free of errors or interruptions. We are liable for damage caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence and in any other case where liability cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
12. Ending the service
You can stop using Kovenant and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that seriously breaches these terms, including the rules in section 9. If we ever stop offering Kovenant, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice.
13. Changes
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll let you know in the app before they apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring claims before the courts of your place of residence.
